ParaScale and Zmanda
ParaScale and Zmanda have partnered together to bring to market an integrated Disk-to-Cloud (D2C) backup solution. How it works
Zmanda’s Amanda Enterprise is an open source backup and recovery software that protects Linux, Solaris, Windows, and Mac OS X environments, all managed from a centralized console. It can be installed on user selected commodity hardware running standard Linux. A complete deployment consists of the Zmanda Backup Server that centralizes all backup operations and Zmanda clients that are installed on machines that need to be backed up. You can also remotely mount a file system using NFS or CIFS on the backup server itself, and backup that system without installing the Zmanda client. The backup server manages all backup and recovery operations and keeps track of the backup data through the backup catalog. Zmanda uses the ParaScale cloud as the destination for all backup data.
