Below is a list of common questions about ParaScale cloud storage. What is the timing for Beta 2? Trial 2/Beta1 was launched in early September and is almost complete. Our original trial started in 2006 and continues today (with a few upgrades in the process). You can learn more about one of our trial customers here. Beta 2, our final beta, is imminent. What is next for ParaScale? Beta 2, is our final pre-product trial phase. GA (general availability) is planned to be in a matter of weeks. If you are interested in participating in Beta 2, or would like to try in the GA timeframe, please complete a registration form.
Can anyone sign-up for ParaScale trials? Yes, with our SW download model, we can host trials anywhere in the world. Relative to Trial 2/Beta 1, we will have a larger pool of trials for Beta 2. But we will need to limit the number of participants to get quality feedback. By being efficient in the trial process, we expect to get our cloud solution to market faster. What is expected from trial participants? Honest and frank feedback. The trial will also require server hardware that can run Redhat Linux 5.2 or CentOS 5.2. The servers can have direct-attached storage(DAS) or externally attached storage. These servers/nodes don't all have to be the same (i.e. the ParaScale cloud can have heterogeneous nodes).
